Old Yeller
by Fred Gipson

Old yeller is such a sad classic that I enjoyed reading again with my sons. To experience the book all over again from going through the eyes of a child to the eyes of a parent, shows the heartbreak of the book. To watch Old Yeller a loyal faithful companion fight to save his family and get bitten by a wolf only to have to be put down by the family it saved, it heartbreaking and mezmoring. To read the story that unfolds and imagine it in your brain as you are. It is a story that should always be read and treasured.
