This book was a littel bit funny beacause when junior called his owners mom lady ,grandmoo,jaw jaw and ruff catch a dog bone.

This book was something different than your typical mystery. I wouldn’t say that I was on the edge of my seat, but it definitely had my attention!

I really enjoyed this book. The author tells both the beautiful and the heartbreaking parts of the story in such a matter-of-fact way that it leaves the emotional impact up to the reader. I found that style incredibly effective—it made every joyful moment and every heartbreak feel more personal.Anne was my favorite character. She's strong, beautiful, and outspoken. She's considered the "Outlander," but she doesn't let that define her, and I loved that about her. Set in southern Italy, the novel brings the setting to life. I could easily picture the stone facades, cobblestone streets, close-knit townspeople, and the heat of the day. Add in shocking love triangles, hidden secrets, heartbreak, and loss, and it becomes a story that's hard to put down.. Inspired by the author's great-grandmother, this is the kind of novel that lingers long after you've finished it. Just as the real Anne hoped she would never be forgotten. I gave it ???? because the ending left a few too many loose ends for my liking. I would have loved a bit more closure for some of the characters and storylines. Even so, it's a beautifully written, emotionally rich novel that I'm glad I read.

This book had a lot of ideas that went unexplored. Topics would be brought up but not seen through in the story. If the author had focused more on fewer topics, leaving less loose ends, I think I would have enjoyed the book more.

Glad I finally read this!

I have to admit I agree with some of the reviews on here. I found the book to be a bit slow and the dual timeline a bit confusing at times. With that being said, I have to give the author V.A. Vazquez props. Writing a novel about a club for the children or serial killers is such a unique take on the genre. For a book that on the surface looks simple and easy enough to puzzle out the twists and turns got me. Just when you think you've figured it out another bombshell hits you. For those reasons alone, I gave the book the rating I did. Although we get answers for most of the questions, there is a lot left for the reader to wonder about.

Such a fun thrilling read where you at first want to relate to the author but then you end up turning the opposite way and having no sympathy. So good!

Holy cow! This book really took you in so many different directions with all the characters that I wasn’t sure where I was going to end up by the end of it. But I NEVER expected that ending!!
