Absolutely delightful. Fun, quirky characters that are perfect for a feel-good summer read.

It was a fast paced exciting sequel to Fourth Wing. It had a lot of shocking twists and I'm looking forward to the third book.

Recitatif

There is something about Morrison’s writing that is just wonderful. This book follows the lives of two girls who meet briefly in an orphanage. They share the bond that they are the only two who are there temporarily. When they leave, and grow up, they meet again at different times and each time the reaction to their meeting is strained in a different way. But the real wonder in the book is in reading the introduction which makes you view the story from many different and wonderful perspectives. If you have not yet read Morrison, you simply must!

I enjoyed the book. However, they took too long to find the criminal. To my opinion, the end was inconclusive unless there is a sequel...I'll check it out.

The Final Score

It was an enjoyable read. I read it as a standalone and it was easy enough to follow even without reading book one but there were connections that I felt like I was missing. I thought the interactions with the characters were very relatable, especially with the sibling interactions.

Circe

I loved this book! The story touches on or at least mentions many of the gods and other recognizable figures from Greek mythology and really helped me understand how they connected. The story begins with Circe’s birth and life in the city with her family but then spends much time and attention on the island of Aeaea where she comes to terms with some old demons and charts the course for her future. If you like mythology, you will love this story.
